It’s been another busy and meaningful week for ALT

Early in the week, ALT had the privilege of attending the repatriation of Ancestral remains for the Kaurna people- Wangayarta.

We acknowledge the many years of dedication and care that led to this deeply significant ceremony — a moment of truth, respect, and healing.

Midweek, ALT met with members of RMMAC in Berri to discuss areas of shared interest and explore future project opportunities. It was a truly welcomed meeting — inspiring to hear about the great projects already underway and the exciting work ahead.

ALT has also been busy finalising plans for the upcoming Healthy Community Event at Davenport on 5 November 2025. We look forward to a day of connection, learning, and celebration with community and key agency partners.

Lastly, ALT was honoured to witness, after 26 years, the Consent to Determination for the First Nations of the South East and Ngarrindjeri Part B overlap claim. Speakers reflected on the legacy of leaders and community members whose enduring commitment made this shared outcome possible. ALT’s CEO shared her personal reflections, recalling her attendance at early community meetings and expressing what a momentous occasion it was to share this day with family.
