Davenport Community Trachoma Awareness Day

A partnership between ALT and Eyre and Far North Local Health Network saw the collaboration of community, DCCI and services come together.

What a fantastic day at Davenport! Hosted by Davenport Community Council Inc and Pika Wiya Health Service Aboriginal Corporation, community members and service providers came together for a successful Trachoma awareness event, featuring education stalls on trachoma prevention and water quality, as well as a big community clean-up.

The day was filled with fun and connection — a delicious BBQ lunch, great entertainment by Warren Milera, and the wonderful gift of fruit trees and vegetable plants for all residents.

A big thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the day such a success.
